Have you ever heard an argument that you found unconvincing? Of course you have. But have you ever heard a follow up argument that presents the idea in a different light that suddenly has you agreeing with it? Even take the case of hearing the same argument a few years later, and suddenly being able to relate to it; amazing, isn’t it? There’s something about the way we interact with ideas that is very organic. We’re never the same person from one moment to another; we might not outwardly project this, but certainly we are being affected by life experiences that changes us oh-so-slightly, moment by moment.
Ever since I was a child, I never cared much for religion. I admit that my way of experiencing the world has been rooted partially in my own idiosyncratic superstitions and intuitions, but I never really was able to relate to religion per se. Until recently, that is, when I started reading about spirituality and metaphysics. Seeing these ideas presented in a new way completely transformed my beliefs about reality pretty much over the course of a couple months. What changed?
If you found your way to this blog, chances are that you also find yourself in a situation where you are trying to construct a better model of reality. I don’t mean this in an escapist way, but rather in a way that attempts to consolidate more of the human experience than its predecessor. Unfortunately, you might find, as do I, that a lot of the material that you come across is very esoteric and hard to interpret; like you just can’t connect with it. This is bound to happen when we try to put into words what the five objective senses cannot perceive. Thus, it is extremely important that we strive to have a many ways of framing these ideas, to better serve all those who are interested in spiritual growth.
To help out in this regard, I decided to contribute my energies by starting this blog. I hope that you will find value in my attempts at synthesizing different ideas, as I experience and grow with them myself.
